Watermill

Lee Bang-won is a young man who works on the fields of the most powerful man in the village, Sin Chi-Gyu. He is dismissed from work suddenly without any explanation and it is only when he passes by the watermill one night that he learns the sinister truth behind his dismissal. Written in 1925, Na Do-hyang explores themes of class conflict, gender conflict and betrayal.
